Running and falling on a sunny day

I took Anna and Malia to see the UNC women’s gymnastics meet today, but the girls had more fun running up and down the steps in Carmichael Auditorium. After Malia got bumped and fell against the benches with a blow to her head, I decided they’d be safer out on the intramural fields. They had a blast running in the sunshine on the fake grass. Malia looked over my way and pronounced, “We’re having fun,” just before Anna tripped and knocked her to the ground with a “thunk.” After a few tears, they were both sprinting across the fields, delighted to be free and fast.
