On my lunchtime walk back from UNC’s main library, I was listening to U2 on my iPod and reading Alan Lightman’s introduction to The Best American Science Writing 2005 when I looked up just in time to see Roy Williams jogging toward me.

Earlier, I almost decapitated myself when I nearly walked into a wire holding up a light pole.
