Living history

Sep 9, 2005

John Ettorre writes a masterful history of Northern Ohio Live, the magazine I once edited.

For his part, Anton Zuiker, Live’s youthful editor in the mid-’90s, recalls an interview with Cleveland-born architect Philip Johnson at the latter’s famous glass house in New Canaan, Connecticut, as a highlight of his career. He especially loved the echo of institutional history: His subject was the very same cover boy who graced the magazine’s first issue from behind his signature owlish eyeglasses.

I wrote about Philip Johson here.
