Summer solstice

I’m on a mission to improve my public speaking skills, and so today attended the bimonthly meeting of the Bell Tower Toastmasters, where I was invited to speak during the Table Talk round of two-minute off-the-cuff speeches. It being the summer solstice, I talked about tracking the sunsets over the Pacific while I was a Peace Corps Volunteer (I worked in the word of the day, impervious describing the feet of the young men who played soccer near the beach each evening). I was awarded the best Table Talk speech of the day (incentive to join the club?).
