Since I last wrote about the mbira, I’ve been on the lookout for one such thumb piano to buy. On a ramp through downtown Asheville during a brief break between conference sessions, I heard a djembe drum calling from a street where a couple of guys were string some new drums. Inside their shop, I found just what I’ve been searching for.
