I once worked for an Internet startup called GrassIsGreener, a company that had a fabulous system for aggregating the millions of job listings in online databases throughout the web but problems making money from its search engine. When Erin and I relocated to North Carolina, I eagerly put my eight months at that company behind me.
But my need to search for new jobs is ever present, especially with the announcement that National Geographic has a new editor for its flagship journal. So I’m back to haunting the online job boards, always looking for that next great opportunity to put my journalism, leadership, communications and management skills to work (for a larger salary, naturally). [See my resume.]
Yesterday I came across a jobs search engine that’s a worthy successor to GiG: Indeed.com. (Link via Lifehacker)
