Literate bloggers everywhere have recently pointed to the Paris Review and its new archive of the famous interviews with novelists from the 1950s. Somewhere in a box in a closet in Cleveland, I have two old issues of the Paris Review, and I must admit that I never really knew what the damn things were until I read Gay Talese’s fine article Looking For Hemingway (in the anthology The Gay Talese Reader: Portraits and Encounters) while Anna and Malia splashed in the tub these past two evenings.
