Ketchup update

Sep 2, 2004

From Gladwell’s article about ketchup:

A typical five-year-old consumes about sixty per cent more ketchup than a typical forty-year-old, and the [Heinz] company realized that it needed to put kethcup in a bottle that a toddler could control. “If you are four … [you] don’t get to choose what [you eat] for dinner, in most cases,” [former Heinz chief growth officer Casey] Keller says. “But the one thing [you] can control is ketchup. It’s the one part of the food experience that [you] can customize and personalize.”

Did I tell you Anna likes ketchup?.
