Seed Magazine finally has a website with content. Seed is an excellent, though infrequent, magazine about science, and the most recent issue is nearly all online. There’s also archived content, including this wonderful piece by Ellen Ruppel Shell. Her article about McDonald’s, obesity and inner-city food choices is downright delicious. Shell organized a conference on obesity at Boston University last year. I wanted to go to that conference; I missed a similar workshop earlier this year sponsored by the North Carolina Association for Biomedical Research. A summary of the NCABR conference is available here. Obesity is an important health journalism topic these days, and one that I hope to write about.
