Dad and Dot are here in Carrboro, and we’re having a great time. Anna keeps saying, “Abu Joseph, mere” as her way of calling her grandpa around the apartment. Dad made a mean pot of meatballs and tomato spaghetti sauce last night. At the moment, I’m holed up in my school office working on my thesis project, and the others are in Durham helping Aaron Hutchins, Dot’s son, pack a moving truck; Aaron’s spent the past semester studying marine management at Duke University, and next semester he’ll be working at Duke’s facility on the Carolina coast.
