The first issue of New Yorker that I ever read was the Dec 6, 1993 issue that was entirely devoted to Mark Danner’s long article, The Massacre At El Mozote (with a slightly different title on the website). I was hooked on the magazine, and I’ve kept that issue with me for the last 10 years. Tonight, I was searching to see if I could find another of Danner’s articles, this one about Haiti, and discovered Danner’s Web Site, which has all of his articles and speeches. What a find. Here’s one excellent journalist and storyteller. (Other New Yorker writers online are Malcolm Gladwell, Susan Orlean, Michael Specter, and Jerome Groopman.)
