Touched by an angel

Butch McCarty, a long-time friend of ours (we’ve known him since Erin worked at Youth Challenge in Ohio), came for a visit this weekend. Butch has been incredibly generous to us through the years. When we were on Paama, he sent us boxes of books, books that kept us occupied during the long rainstorms and Saturday afternoons in the hammocks. Butch loves to give Anna gifts, and Anna adores him. He put up with my busy school schedule and work load, and his relaxed humility was just the antidote I needed. Thanks, Butch, for being our friend.
