This website, in case you didn’t know it, makes use of an exciting type of software called weblogging. See my Blogging101 presentation to get a sense of what this is. Specifically, I use Movable Type, which is a powerful content management system that stores all of my postings in a database. There are other, simpler weblog programs and services, too, and I encourage you to consider creating and maintaining a weblog of your own. If you’re a member of the extended Zuiker family, you can have a weblog on this site – just send me a message or post a comment here and I\’ll set one up for you. If you’d like to create one of your own, wait a few weeks. In June, some wonderful developments will hit the blogosphere:\n

• Typepad, from the creators of Movable Type, will be a fantastic service that will allow you to create photo albums in addition to writing a blog.
• Blogger is updating its software, and it remains free, fast and easy to use.
• Textpattern is a new program and service that will come out soon, and it looks slick and powerful, too.
