Little Anna is two years old today, and she celebrated by running after sea gulls on the beach at Tybee Island (near Savannah, Georgia). As we walked along the beach picking up seashells, I thought about Frank the Beachcomber and his eagle eyes. I didn’t find many trade-goods keepers today, but maybe later when I’m not watching a toddler frolic in the waves I can go more slowly down the beach.
