Family stories good & bad

Jan 28, 2003

In today’s Wall Street Journal (sorry, no link available) Jeffrey Zaslow wrote an intriguing column about capturing family traumas or painful memories on film.

”Home videos in America almost always capture upbeat moments – birthdays, graduations, toddlers’ first steps. Photo albums rarely contain images of funerals, failures or family strife.”
What do you think – should we be recording more of the tears and shouts and struggles and failures of our personal and family lives? How can Zuiker Chronicles Online include more of the reality of our family’s life through the years, at present, and in the future? I look forward to your ideas.
