My dad, Sixties protester at heart—he once demonstrated at the FBI building wearing a Nixon mask, and voluntarily (naively) offered his name when asked by the black-suit-, dark-sunglasses-wearing men in the crowd—sent this message out to the family today:

Our President and Vice President are absolutely full of it. Don’t believe them for a minute when they tell you they can declare war by themselves. Article 1, Section 8 paragraph 11 of the U.S. Constitution: [The Congress shall have power … [11] ” To declare War…”. And paragraph (12) ”To raise and support Armies” ... Sorry to say, our leaders are absolute fools who are very dangerous to our rights. This is not a liberal or conservative issue. It is not a born-again or non-born-again issue. It is a Constitutional issue. Wouldn’t it be great to fight the Taliban only to become like them?

Bush is bush league …
