An anniversary day for Erin and me, six years from the glorious day when she and I exchanged our vows in Saint Francis Chapel at John Carroll University. Thanks to all of our family and friends who were there to witness our wedding, and to those of you who have joined us along the way. We appreciate your love and support, and we’re happy to report that our love affair is stronger than its ever been.
I woke early so I could scoot up to the Carrboro Farmers Market to buy a fresh cut sunflower for Erin. The market today was so abundant with tomatoes and melons and peppers and flowers and smiling farmers and eager shoppers that I felt I was in heaven. It’s so nice to be home in North Carolina.
Erin and little Anna and I drove to the coast on Wednesday, to camp at Carolina Beach State Park and walk along Kure Beach. We celebrated our anniversary with a meal at the Cottage Restaurant in Carolina Beach, then went back to our campsite to make s’mores by the campfire.
