My father arrived in Chicago this morning, just after my mother took off from O’Hare on her way to Hawaii. She’ll stay with Matt for a week, while dad visits us and his siblings here in Chicago. Then, dad flies with Grandma Zuiker to Rhode Island to visit Dot’s family; John Zuiker will drive up from Virginia so he can go deep sea fishing. Erin and Anna and I finish our Chicago stint in two weeks, whereupon we’ll drive to Cleveland for a few days, then all the way north to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to vacation with Erin’s cousin Julie and her husband, Tom, and their infant, Luca.
