While I never really liked the movie Bull Durham, I found one of its scenes to be quite hilarious: A pitching mound conferral about what makes an appropriate wedding gift. That’s funny. Last fall, I walked on the field where that movie was filmed. Tonight, Erin and Anna and I joined our friends Jon and Briton and Blaine and Becky for a Durham Bulls (AAA farm team of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays) game. The team plays in a new, larger stadium now. It was a beautiful night—and $1-brat night—and tickets were easy to come by. I should have been home working on my birthday gifts for Erin (4/18) and Anna (4/17), but it was nice to sit with friends, watch a game, sip a brew and eat a brat.
