Just finished watching the film K-Pax, and the ending quote—”In this life, get it right.”—is so appropriate for this eve of Easter. In the movie, Kevin Spacey’s character, a mental patient called Proat, has everyone believing he is from a far-off planet and can get there by traveling through light. While I’m often as unclear about Jesus and his comings and goings to a different world, I am always drawn into stories of redemption. Making things right in this life, on this world, seems to be the only real rule that has any resonance. Acceptance, forgiveness, healing, listening, loving. These will be the ideas on my mind as the sun comes up tomorrow. I just pray that I can find the ways to roll back the stones.
