Last night, I attended a speech by Russell Feingold, the Democratic senator from Wisconsin. Feingold, you might know, is the cosponsor, with Senator John McCain, of the campaign finance reform legislation that is so close to becoming law. Feingold reminded the crowd last night to continue to pressure Congress and the President to pass this legislation. Feingold is also noteworthy because he was the only senator to cast a Nay vote for the ”Patriot Bill” last fall. That legislation gave the administration broad new powers that, says Feingold, seriously trample on the freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. Visit Feingold’s website, and send him a message about what you think in regards to his positions.
