Nick called today from the road, somewhere west of DeKalb, on his way with his friend, Mark, south to Arizona. Nick will hang out there for a few weeks or months, do a little construction work while looking for firefighting jobs. If nothing pans out (pun intended), he go even further west to San Diego.
