An Uninspiring Peace Corps Nominee Uh-oh. George Bush is at it again. Here’s the New York Times editorial opinion on the forthcoming nomination of Gaddi Vasquez to the directorship of the Peace Corps. Does Bush think he’ll really be able to get away with eviscerating every important agency and government program? Maybe there’s a reason he self-exiles himself to Crawford, Texas. If the nomination is still before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee next month when Erin and I and Dad go to Washington for the Peace Corps 40th anniversary, I’ll have to make my voice heard on the subject.
