Nick checked in from Nevada to tell us about fighting a fire. He joined the volunteer fire department in his small community, Virginia City. Here’s the recap:

Just wanted to let you know that I had a kick-*** time fighting a structure fire on Saturday. Got the call around midnight and raced to the station. Jumped on the engine and raced towards the fire. Fought the fire for about three hours and then had to sit around and watch it smolder for another three hours. Then around six a.m. had to perform overhaul operations to make sure the fire was completely out. So ended up getting home around nine in the morning. Man it was long and tedious, but for the first few hours, I was having the time of my life. Hope all of your weekends were as exciting. Nick
