frontline: the merchants of cool Erin and I watched this the other night, and found it to be a stimulating and enlightening documentary about popular culture in our country. I initially got interested in this show because my favorite writer, Malcolm Gladwell of the New Yorker was interviewed about an article he wrote in 1997 about people who hunt out cool trends to come.
