Peace Corps in Dominican Republic

I’m on the phone with my dad, who called from the airport in New York City, about to board a plane for Santo Domingo. He’ll be attending celebrations there to mark 45 years of the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic. Dad was in the 13th group to go to the DR just two years into the life of the Peace Corps.
