Conference planning is back-breaking work
Gorgeous day today and a holiday tomorrow, and with most of the NC Science Blogging Conference and best-of-science-blogging anthology coming together, I took the afternoon to listen to my body telling me, through this screaming pain in my back and fog in my head, that I needed to get away from the desk — where I’ve been leaning forward, peering into two computer screens late into each night — and lay down and sleep.
I haven’t heard from Bora all day, either, so I hope he’s recharging his batteries as well.
Tomorrow, I’ll be back at conference planning, arranging for breakfast and lunch and a day filled with interesting conversations about using blogs to promote the public understanding of science. Should be a fun and rewarding day for everyone involved.

My body was screaming, too, so I took a long sleepppppp….
Then I cleaned the house, had some guests over for a very pleasant conversation and now amm about half-way through proofreading the enormous anthology file – we’lll get in touch later….
