Dinner with family, dinner with friends

A ride on the T tonight to Boston’s North End to meet Tom Haines and Julie Braun, two amazing individuals and one beatiful couple. Dinner at Monica’s, where the grilled Italian sausage appetizer was a tasty sweet-and-sour start, a bottle of Nebbiolo “Spanna” Riserva was a light but intoxicating drink, and gnocchi with roasted duck was a deliciously meaty meal. Tom and Julie and I chatted about choices in crossing the river of life, the importance of family and the urgency of following our dreams. I would love to be in the same city as them and share many such meals.
