Children, Go

I was making a CD of Anna’s favorite songs (ABC by the Jackson Five, Windfall by Son Volt, O-bla-di by the Beatles and more), and I thought to include Children, Go Where I Send Thee sung by Ricky Skaggs, a song (written by Noel Stookey of Peter, Paul & Mary; lyrics here) that was the hit of the Zuiker Family Camp-o-ree 1984 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. We used to walk from the Raven’s Roost, the family campsite, to the Wagon Wheel Tavern, and I’m sure my uncles spent a hundred bucks that week making the jukebox play Skaggs for our barroom sing-along.
