My amazing mother, Cheryl Anne

My amazing mother, Cheryl Anne Zuiker (nee Sisco), turns 55 today, March 27th. She has much to celebrate, and I hope you’ll send her a birthday message (send an e-mail message to cazuiker@aol.com). Mom successfully and gracefully raised her 5 sons to be sensitive, giving, forgiving, soulful and loving men. Today, she is the principal of St. Therese School in Aurora, and she is educating another generation to be just as present in God’s world. Mom has a master’s degree in adult education administration from Regis University and will soon be finishing a second master’s degree in school administration. She taught me to read and write, as well as the strength of determination, and I love her. Happy birthday, Mom!


Also a birthday greeting to Lily Katherine Shaughnessy, born Sunday to Erin’s brother Michael and his wife, Katherine. Considering they were due a day before us (Lily came a few weeks early), the reality of our own soon-to-be-born child has Erin and me on expectant pins and needles. Anyway, Lily is beautiful, and makes 5 grandchildren for Dan and Joanne Shaughnessy. Ours will soon make six.
