In the mail today was a package from the editor of Northern Ohio Live Magazine, containing the program from the Society of Professional Journalists Ohio’s Best Journalism awards dinner back in September. There was also a framed certificate attesting to a First Place (tie) for Best Medical/Science Reporting in publications unders 100,000 circulation to yours truly. The judges seemed to have like my series of articles for the Inventing the Future column: “A variety of entries, on reversing the aging process, miniaturized machines inside the body and the answer to the intriguing questions such as ‘Did your DNA Come Over on the Mayflower?’, make this medical reporter’s work a winner. Intriguing. Well developed.”
