Scott Simon on NPR this morning is having a grand time and producing such a vibrant show – his enjoyment of his job is infectious. I’ll post a link later today so that you, too, can listen to Simon’s infectious enthusiasm for the Chicago Cubs, the Annoying Music Hall of Fame and director Carl Franklin.

I went to bed last night jazzed about my role as a journalist. I spent the evening writing an article about a biologist and her discovery about how crabs molt, and how one 11-year-old boy was inspired by that research.
