Anna and I were walking across campus this morning, and we passed by the School of Information and Library Science. In front of Manning Hall and beneath a flowering tree was a table of used books for sale. I grabbed a 1931 edition of The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin for $2 and a paperback copy of William Least Heat Moon’s Blue Highways. My bookshelf is now teeming with a variety of reading material just waiting to be dissected. Maybe this weekend on Tybee Island, where the Shaughnessy family will gather for the Easter weekend.
