Carolina Soccer Anna and I

Dec 8, 2001

Carolina Soccer Anna and I with our friend Blaine witnessed a fantastic soccer match today. The UNC men, in an NCAA quarterfinal, beat Fairleigh Dickinson in triple overtime. Carolina was set to win in regulation, but with 32 seconds to go, a hand ball in the box gave FDU a penalty shot. The game was tied at end of regulation, and we watched Carolina repeatedly shoot to win—at the end, Carolina had 32 shots on goal to FDU’s 6. Great game on a warm, balmy, beautiful day.
