A news roundup: My father,

Apr 5, 2001

A news roundup: My father, Joe, tells me he’ll be running the Rock and Roll Marathon in San Diego with Terry this June … Dad and Dot will then travel on to Arkansas to visit my brother, Chris, and Elizabeth and their sons, Matthew and Samuel. Chris received a generous offer this week to work for Stanley Tool Company as soon as he finishes his MBA at the University of Arkansas next month (cezuiker@juno.com)... Arlene has finished a family tree, starting with Cornelius Zuiker, and is sending everyone a printed copy. Make sure you send her your thanks (mazu13@aol.com). And look for the family tree on this web site soon … Grandma Clarice Zuiker will accompany Arlene and Art back to Chicago next week. Darn snow birds, welcome back to the North … Baby Z should arrive soon. Erin and I are quite eager to meet our new companion. We’re hoping Baby Z can help us with some big decisions—Erin has been accepted into the University of North Carolina School of Public Health (rated 3rd in the nation) and Yale University’s School of Public Health (rated in the top 10). She wants to study international maternal and child health. And I got word today that I’ve been accepted into Columbia University School of Journalism in New York (tops in the country) ... My mother, Cheryl, is looking for a new start once she finishes the school year. Keep your eyes open for principal openings or other positions of administration in social institutions. (cazuiker@aol.com) ... My mother’s mother, Grandma Virginia Sisco, fell and broke her hip today. She’s in Kishwaukee Community Hospital for the next few days. If you’d like to send your wishes for a quick recovery, the address is Virginia Sisco, Kishwaukee Hospital Room 246C, 626 Bethany Rd, DeKalb, IL 60115, or you can send an e-mail through the hospital’s website, www.kishhospital.com... Nick Zuiker is in Denver this week. Hope he’s able to hook up with the Boulder Zuikers … Joel has a new computer and a new e-mail address (zuikerjoel@cs.com). He’d love to hear from his relatives ...

And that’s just a handful of the Zuikers. The rest of you, please send news to Anton (anton@zuiker.com).
